Azerbaijan Air and Extreme Sports Federation leaves for Uhuru peak, Africa

Baku. Elnur Mammadli – APA. The first Azerbaijan-Africa expedition led by President of Azerbaijan Air and Extreme Sports Federation left Arusha city of Tanzania for Uhuru Peak on Kilimanjaro.

Press service of Azerbaijan Air and Extreme Sports Federation told APA that the march under the slogan “Azerbaijan, forward with Ilham toward new peaks” is of scientific, political, sporting and symbolic importance.

The expedition will move towards Uhuru peak at 5895m Mount Kilimanjaro. This is one of the seven highest peaks of the world. The expedition also includes representatives of Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry.

This is the second long-distance march organized by Azerbaijan Air and Extreme Sports Federation. Earlier, President of the federation Huseyn Bagirov had led the expedition to Antarctica.
