Berlin. Ulkar Gasimova–APA. Azerbaijani love poetry has been published by German Mattes & Seitz publishing house for the first time. There are about 40 Azerbaijani poets in the anthology. Works of N. Ganjavi, M. Fuzuli, I. Nasimi, M. Ganjavi, Khatai, Naimi, Khaili, Gulshani have been published in German as anthology. The anthology was published by Azerbaijani Culture Institute named after Ganjavi in Germany. Atashi told APA that the anthology was a gift of the Institute for the Year of Azerbaijani Culture.
“It will be unjust if we do not demonstrate Azerbaijani classic literature to German society in such import year. One of the main successes of the anthology is to demonstrate the fact that Azerbaijan has grown many woman poets, which all of Europe cannot do it by now”, she said.
Atashi stated that the anthology would exclusively be presented in German Bundestag soon. The presentation will be organized with the support of Caucasus Group of Bundestag. To her, MP of Bundestag, Chairman of the Committee on Legal and Human Rights Issues of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Eduard Lintner and permanent member of Foreign Affairs Commission highly assessed translation of works and stressed that this reach treasure should be presented to German society worthily and supported the presentation. Azerbaijani Embassy in Germany supports the presentation as well.
