Chingiz Huseynzada: Our sportsmen will face climate problems
Following seminars 204 states’ representatives visited sport facilities. NOC Delegation attended grand gala held оп the Tian’anmen square Wednesday celebrating one-year countdown to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. But Azerbaijan Delegation faced problems to watch the meeting in the open air.
“It seems Azeri participants will face climate problems. The weather is extremely hot in Beijing. It is impossible to walk in the street in August in Beijing. The humidity of weather is 70-80 percent while wind speed is 1.5 meters in second. We could not watch the grand gala in the open air because of hot weatherâ€.
Chingiz Huseynzada attended several meetings jointly with Azerbaijan ambassador to China Yashar Aliyev. Vice president said Yashar Aliyev will be NOC permanent representative in Beijing since that time. He added that the organizational issues are carried out well and sportsmen will not have meal problems. European, American even African kitchen will be represented in the Olympic Games. “Azerbaijan sportsmen attended Atlanta, Sydney and Athena Olympiads. We intend to join Beijing Olympic Games with 45 sportsmenâ€. Azerbaijan Olympic Team’s chief de mission Ilham Madatov said strict doping control will be carried out in Beijing Summer Olympiad. Chief de mission said every sportsman is to inform International Federation and World Antidoping Agency (WADA). “WADA should be able to find sportsmen in any time. If WADA does not find sportsman it increases doping suspicionsâ€. Ilham Madatov said 3000 doping test will be carried out in Bejing Olympiad. “In the previous Olympic Games only medallists used to go through doping test. This time doping test will be carried differentlyâ€./APA-Sport/
