Shahin Diniyev: High-score defeats by Poland not to be repeated
“We can succeed only by displaying compact, mobile and collective performance. I think Alim is able to play in mobile teamâ€, he said.
The trainer also explained the selection of Olimpik forward Khagani Mammedov after a long-term break.
“We need a fierce forward, as well as a player who can get the ball and control it. That’s why we gave chance to Khaqaniâ€, he said.
Despite unexpected changes, head coach didn’t agree with the statements that Azerbaijan will play tomorrow with experimental crew. He stated that 4 or 5 players are replaced in every match.
“It is because of lack of candidates to the national teamâ€, he said.
The trainer confessed that they always face trouble in selection of playmaker and forward. He also explained the selection of Ferhad Veliyev as a goalkeeper.
“Ferhad performed very satisfactory in last match against Finlandâ€, he said.
Diniyev stressed that previous high-score defeats by Poland will not be repeated tomorrow. The trainer stated that the team will try to use all mistakes of the rival.
The line-up of Azeri national team for the match to start at 21.00 tomorrow includes:
Ferhad Veliyev – Samir Abbasov, Aslan Kerimov, Ramin Guliyev - Emin Guliyev, Aleksandr Chertoganov, Emin Imameliyev, Ramazan Abbasov, Alim Gurbanov – Khagani Mammedov, Branimir Subashich. /APA-Sport/
