The press service of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism told APA that at the concert Ibrahim Keyvo, an Armenian coming from Syria, made a speech. The Azerbaijani folk song “Sari gelin” performed at the night was presented as Armenian.
Azerbaijan’s Copyright Agency has published a number of articles, expert opinions, and declarations on the Armenization of the “Sari gelin” song. A letter of objection has been sent to the World Intellectual Property Organization in this regard.
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism objects to the holding of “Sari gelin” concerts in Hildesheim on 11 June 2016, and in Bremerhaven on 25 June.
