Baku. Shahriyar Alizade – APA. The preliminary investigation into the criminal case of the former head of Azerbaijan’s State Flag Square Complex Rashad Mammadov and other has been completed, lawyer Irada Javadova told APA on Tuesday.
She said that the files of the case have been sent to the Baku Court of Grave Crimes for consideration.
The preparatory hearing on the case is scheduled for May 27. The hearing will be presided over by judge Alovsat Abbasov.
The former head of Azerbaijan’s State Flag Square Complex Rashad Mammadov, as well as Isfandiyar Isfandiyarov and Arzu Mammadov were arrested on charges of fraud.
Zabil Salmanov, who is recognized as an aggrieved person, a while ago appealed to investigating authority, noting that he has no complaint against the accused persons.
On March 4, 2016, Baku’s Sabail District Court considered the appeal filed by Rashad Mammadov on commuting his pre-trial detention.
In his appeal, he mentioned that his wife suffered from a serious illness. Taking into account his appeal, the Sabail District Court released him on recognizance not to leave the country.
