Logo, brand of 4th Islamic Solidarity Games unveiled

Baku will host the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games on May 12-22, 2017.

The logo prepared by a group of Azerbaijani designers embodies the history, heritage and culture of the Islamic countries.

The main theme of the New Baku 2017 brand is a modern description of carper-weaving inherent in the rich cultural tradition of most Islamic countries. Bold color palette used in the brand reflects craftsmanship, culture and centuries-old traditions of the Islamic world.

The elements of the carpet combination symbolize the heritage of Azerbaijan. As a sign of respect for the rock art images in Gobustan National Park, which is included into the list of UNESCO’s World Heritage, these elements are elegantly tied with sports theme.
