He promised that the US will continue to actively participate in the Alliance’s work.
"We have raised them [costs] from 790 million to 3.4 billion dollars, thanks to which we can provide a whole division in Europe with facilities. On the east wing, a combat brigade consisting of 4,000 soldiers will be stationed, which will ensure a constant rotational presence in Europe,” Blinken said.
NATO's new chief military commander in Europe, Curtis Scaparrotti, has called on the Alliance’s members to stand ready against possible threats from Russia and terrorists.
