The defense ministry stated that obligated reservists voluntarily wishing to reenlist can apply to the commands of military units, where they want to serve, and the Training and Education Center of the Armed Forces.
In accordance with the Law “On military duty and military service”, Azerbaijani citizens who are available for military service, can reenlist. They include military servicemen, who have completed the statutory term of active military service, obligated reservists aged below 40 years old (except for officers, warrant officers), as well as women aged from 19 to 40 years old.
Those who had previously been convicted, and soldiers, sailors and sergeants transferred to the reserve from active duty for committing acts discrediting the honor and dignity of soldiers are recommended not to apply for reenlistment.
