Armenia violates ceasefire with Azerbaijan 116 times

Baku - APA. In the last 24 hours, Armenian armed forces have violated the ceasefire with Azerbaijan 116 times in various parts of the contact line between the two countries' troops, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said on Apr. 29.

Armenian military was using 60, 82 and 120mm mortars, grenade launchers and large-caliber machine guns.

Armenian armed units stationed in the Berkaber village of Armenia’s Ijevan district and the Voskevan village of Armenia's Noyemberyan district opened fire at the positions of Azerbaijani armed forces located in the Gizilhajili and Gushchu Ayrim villages of Azerbaijan’s Gazakh district.

Moreover, Azerbaijani army positions located in the Alibeyli, Kokhanebi villages of the Tovuz district were fired at by Armenian armed units stationed in the the Mosesgekh, Chinari villages of the Berd district.

Azerbaijani army positions located on nameless heights of the Gadabay district also came under from Armenian positions located on nameless uplands of the Krasnoselsk district.

Meanwhile, Armenian army opened fire from positions near the villages of Chilaburt, Goyark and Yarimja of the Terter district, Shikhlar, Javahirli, Sarijali, Kangarli, Novruzlu, Shuraaabd, Garagashli, Marzili, Yusifjanli of the Aghdam district, Kuropatkino of the Khojavend district, Garakhanbeyli, Horadiz, Gorgan, Ashagi Seyidahmadli of the Fuzuli district, Mehdili of the Jabrayil district, as well as on nameless heights in the districts of Goygol, Goranboy, Khojavand, Fuzuli and Jabrayil.

In consideration of the operational situation, Azerbaijani armed forces carried out 122 strikes on Armenian positions.
