A while ago, the court issued a decision on extending the prison term for those detained on the case of the International Bank.
Earlier, former senior officers of the bank and entrepreneurs who have taken big loans in the International Bank of Azerbaijan and have not returned them, were arrested. They are the former director of the Central branch of IBA Ilgar Abdullayev, former director of the Transport branch of the IBA Kanan Orujov, the director of the branch of the International Bank of Azerbaijan in Dubai Adil Huseynov, Director General of the Inter Security Ltd. Ibrahim Huseynov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Azerinshaatservis Arif Hasanov, Deputy Director of Trek Invest JSC, which is the founder of Azerinshaatservis Ltd. Ali Alishov, Director of Inter Glass Fariz Muradov and several others.
A criminal case was filed towards the bank under article 178 (fraud) and other articles of the Criminal Code.
The bank’s former head Jahangir Hajiyev has also been arrested.
Investigation is underway on the criminal case.
