Regardless of ownership, place and time of film screening, its technique and production methods, in order to prevent illegal screening of national, foreign or joint artistic movies, newsreel, documentary, scientific and educational films, cartoons and films in other genres, broadcasting of pornography and films propagandizing violence, and determine age categories of audience, all films whose screening and public demonstration are authorized must be registered in the Culture and Tourism Ministry and entered into the state register.
Under the Article 223-11 of the Code of Administrative Offences, AZN 2,000 fine is imposed for screening and public demonstration of movies and video films not registered in the State Registry of Films.
