According to ministry’s press service, the sides discussed current situation of the links and development principles of cooperation between Azerbaijan and WB, instability in world economy and possible impacts of negative tendencies on Azerbaijan’s economy, measures taken by the government.
The minister gave information about measures taken by the government to minimize the impact of foreign economic tendencies on Azerbaijan’s economy and noted that significant decisions have been passed on full insurance of deposits, exemption of interest rates paid on individuals’ deposits, as well as discount and interest rates from tax, amendments in legislations in currency regulation to prevent capital outflow, investment promotion, improvement of business environment and stimulation of export of non-oil products.
He also noted that close links with the World Bank will continue in the new economic circumstance.
