“I see no need for statements likely to instigate issues of the Nardaran incident,” Muradova said.
She said it is left to law enforcement agencies to give a legal assessment of the incidents.
“Citizens – regardless of their faith or ethnic identity – are required to act in line with the laws of Azerbaijan. Faith pertains to the believer and is part of our culture and outlook but it does not fully apply to our life. Everyone should keep in mind that they are citizens of a secular country and should be able to adjust their lives in keeping with their faith but also with our national customs and laws,” Muradova stressed.
