The decision, pertaining to the Open Society Foundation and the OSI Assistance Foundation, was passed based on the request of the Russian Federal Assembly’s Federal Council, APA reported citing Interfax.
“The Federal Council has appealed to the prosecutor general’s office, Foreign Ministry and Ministry of Justice for an investigation into the organization which poses a threat to Russia’s constitutional structure and the country’s security,” said Marina Gridneva, the spokesperson for the prosecutor general’s office.
The decision has been submitted to the Ministry of Justice.
