Combat readiness of Azerbaijani State Border Service checked

First of all, capabilities of specifying the place of a conditional terrorist group, which violated the state border, and skills of deploying land forces by helicopters were checked, and parachute jumping of the landing forces were successfully carried out.

The quick reaction forces, awakened with the command of “Alert”, reached to the gathering points on time and immediately started the fulfillment of combat tasks. Shootings at targets from missiles controlled from the helicopters were accurately completed.

Combat readiness and firing capabilities of quick reaction forces in armored vehicles in impassable mountainous terrain, level of interaction between aviation units and quick reaction forces and their coordination were inspected. Aviation units conducted a variety of maneuvers and personnel demonstrated strict discipline and professionalism.

First Deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov and Azerbaijani State Border Service (SBS) Chief, Colonel-General Elchin Guliyev observed the exercises.

Combat readiness of the units involved in the exercises was highly-assessed, additional instructions were given for execution of the orders and instructions of President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev.
