APA reports quoting the ministry’s website that the leadership and other officials of the ministry visited the second Alley of Honor and the graves of the police officers who died heroically during the special operation in Baku’s Nardaran settlement against the armed gang planning to forcibly change the constitutional order in Azerbaijan.
The visitors honored the memory of the police officers and laid a wreath and flowers on their graves.
On November 26, an armed criminal group, which was operating under the guise of religion and was planning to forcibly change the constitutional order in Azerbaijan by staging provocations, mass riots and terrorist attacks, was neutralized in Baku’s Nardaran settlement as a result of the special operation conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Consequently, two police officers died heroically.
Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree to award police sergeants Vugar Nasibov and Ismayil Taghiyev posthumously with Azerbaijani Flag Order for their special merits for ensuring the socio-political stability in Azerbaijan and for bravery.
