Eastern Partnership Informal Ministerial Dialogue ends

A press conference was held following the dialogue meeting.

Georgian Foreign Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili said that a number of international projects recently implemented with the participation of Eastern Partnership countries, , as well as transport, regional security issues were discussed at the meeting.

Johannes Hahn, Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, welcomed the reforms carried out in Georgia.

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn had a meeting following the press conference. The meeting was held behind closed doors.

Georgian Foreign Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili told APA that the document on “Role of Eastern Partnership in a new policy of neighborhood” revealed by the EU a week ago was also discussed. “We discussed the plan regarding it and further development of Eastern Partnership. It was the main issue. We also touched on the situation in the region and cooperation with partner countries in EU format,” he added.
