The Defense Ministry said that they laid flowers at the monument to Heydar Aliyev erected in the territory of Shamkir military formation.
The Turkish general became familiar with the Heydar Aliyev corner and signed the book of honor. The guest was informed about the history of establishment of the military formation, its activities, composition and combat readiness, moral and psychological state of personnel, social conditions and works done in recent years.
Akar also reviewed the dormitories, medical centers, canteen, bath-laundry complex and became satisfied with the conditions created for the personnel.
Then the delegation visited Heydar Aliyev Center in Ganja, Nizami mausoleum, house where Nuri Pasha's flag was found, and Consulate General of Turkey.
The delegation’s visit to Azerbaijan ended.
