Azerbaijani man arrested on suspicion of murdering own parents

Based on the information received by the Prosecutor General’s Office of Qurban Nasibov (1988), a resident of Terter’s Jamili district, having deliberately murdered his parents, the district prosecutor’s office and police inspected the scene of crime and the dead bodies, with the participation of forensic experts, taking material evidence, etc., the Prosecutor General’s Office told APA.

The district prosecutor’s office has opened a criminal case on Article 120.2.7 (deliberate murder of two or more persons) of the Criminal Code.

Investigations made it clear that Qurban Nasibov, who has been registered at Terter Central District Hospital with the diagnosis of reactive paranoid psychosis since 2013 and has been previously imprisoned, was arrested because he is suspected of killing his mother Nazli Nasibova and his father Khanbaba Nasibov over a personal dispute while the two were asleep.

Qurban Nasibov has been sentenced to pretrial detention under the abovementioned article of the Criminal Code. Investigation is underway.
