Turkish PM meets German, Palestinian leaders in New York

The closed-door meeting with the German leader was held in Germany's permanent mission to the UN and lasted for 45 minutes, according to Turkish Prime Ministry sources.

The leaders discussed the ongoing migrant and refugee crisis in Europe and the Syrian civil war, sources said.

The Turkish premier, who is in the U.S. for the 70th UN General Assembly meetings, was accompanied by Foreign Minister Feridun Sinirlioglu and National Intelligence Organization (MIT) chief Hakan Fidan during the meeting.

Davutoglu's meeting with Palestinian leader Abbas was held at Grand Hyatt in Manhattan.

The meeting, which was closed to media, was also attended by Sinirlioglu and Fidan, as well as Palestinian UN envoy Riyad Mansour.

Following the meeting, Davutoglu went to the UN headquarters to co-chair a debate on global partnership as part of the UN summit for the adoption of post-2015 development agenda.
