Baku. Mubariz Aslanov - APA. The identity of an Azerbaijani citizen, who was detained at Borispol airport in Kiev, has been established.

Ukraine’s Security Service for the airport told APA that the detainee is Valeh Javanshir Amiraliyev, who was born on June 21, 1986 in Azerbaijan’s Gusar district.

He was detained while attempting to fly to Turkey, passing from Russia to Ukraine.

European champion in unarmed combat Amiraliyev, who put on Interpol’s wanted list by Russian law-enforcement bodies, was handed over to the Ukrainian policy.

Although he is found guilty of terrorism, it is unknown what offenses he committed.
