Baku-APA. Eight people were killed and 37 others injured when a passenger bus plunged off a mountain highway in Ramechhap District of Central Nepal on Friday evening, the police said, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
The bus veered off the road at Gahirachowk area in Manthali Municipality of the district, some 137 kilometers east of country' s capital Kathmandu, Police Inspector Makhan Yadav told Xinhua over the phone Friday.
All the injured passengers are undergoing treatment at a local hospital in the district, he said.
"Preliminary investigation suggests that the driver is solely responsible for the mishap," the police inspector added.
