Azerbaijan increases premiums 8.2% in non-life insurance

Baku. Musa Ahmadov – APA-Economics. AZN 230.9 mln or 73.8% of insurance premiums collected in January0-August 2015 came from non-life insurance, up 8.2% from previous year, said the head of Azerbaijan Insurers Association Orkhan Bayramov.

22.8% or AZN 52.7 mln of non-life insurance came from compulsory vehicle insurance, 21.7% or AZN 50.2 mln from health insurance, 9% or AZN 20.7 mln from property insurance against fire and other perils, 8.9% or AZN 20.5 mln from real estate compulsory insurance, 8.9% or AZN 20.5 mln from casco insurance, 28.7% or AZN 66.3 mln from other non-life insurance types.

71.8% or AZN 83.4 mln of payments in 8 months went to non-life insurance, down 0.3% in annual comparison.

39.8% or AZN 33.2 mln of non-life insurance payments went to health insurance, 25.6% or AZN 21.3 mln to compulsory automobile insurance, 19.6% or AZN 16.3 mln to casco, and 15% or AZN 12.5 mln to other non-life insurance types.

AZN 36.1 was paid for each AZN 100 insurance premium. It was AZN 38.9 in 2014.
