Baku. Musa Ahmadov – APA-Economics. In the 2nd quarter of 2015, the trans-border money transfers between Russia and Azerbaijan by individuals reached $225 mln, down $148 mln or 39.68% from 2014, APA-Economics reports citing Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
According to information, $190 mln was transferred to Azerbaijan from Russia in the second quarter of 2015, down $144 mln or 43.11% in annual comparison. In April-June, on average $519 was transferred to Azerbaijan from Russia for each deal. In the second quarter of 2014, trans-border money transfer systems transferred $ 334 mln to Russia from Azerbaijan (on average $654 for each deal).
In comparison to the first quarter of this year, money transfers between Azerbaijan and Russia in April-June rose $43 mln or 23.63%. This figure made $225 mln in Q2, while it was $182 mln in Q1.
Money transfers from Russia to Azerbaijan in the compared period increased $64 mln or 50.79%. Total of $190 mln (averagely $519 for each deal) was transferred to Azerbaijan from Russia in Q2, while $126 mln (averagely $419 for each deal) was transferred in Q1.
Regarding money transfers from Azerbaijan to Russia in Q2, $35 mln (on average $568 for each deal) was transferred to Russia, down $4 mln or 10.26% from previous year. In other word, total of $39 mln ($689 for each deal) was transferred to Russia from Azerbaijan in the second quarter of 2014.
Compared to the first three months of 2015, money transfers to Russia fell $21 mln or 37.5% in Q2. That’s, money transfers from Azerbaijan to Russia fell to $35 mln in the second quarter, while it made $56 mln in the first quarter. Average sum on each deal made $700 in Q1, $568 in Q2.
