Baku-APA. An earthquake jolted the northern Indian state of Rajasthan late Thursday night, but no casualties were reported, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
"The quake was measured 4.4 magnitude on the Richter Scale. The epicenter has been identified as Sikar, which is some 100 km from the state capital of Jaipur," sources said.
Tremors were felt in towns of Jaipur, Jhunjhunu, Tonk and Ajmer at around 11:35 p.m. local time (1805 GMT), the sources said.
Local TV channels reported that panicked people rushed out of their homes.
