According to the framework agreement on “Gathering Ante Mortem information and centralized database management of those missing during the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict” signed between the Azerbaijani State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing People and the Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Azerbaijan, the work to take biological samples from the relatives of the missing persons continued in the first half of 2015, said the report on the activities of the State Commission and its working group in H1 2015.
The work was launched in April and samples have so far been taken from 715 donors (244 families), said the report.
To facilitate the process of taking samples mobile groups were set up, according to the report.
Consistent activities were also carried out with the framework of the Software Agreement on “Usage of Ante Mortem/Post Mortem database” signed between the State Commission and ICRC. Over the first six month of 2015, the Commission received personal data about 200 people.
Data about 170 of them were entered to the base. The profiles of 2,178 people have been submitted to the commission since the start of the process. Of these, data about 2138 people were downloaded to the data base.
In addition, works have been carried out on specification of the existing lists of the persons registered as missing persons at the state commission and the ICRC, and elimination of any differences. As a result of the work carried out by the working group of the State Commission, specified data about 15 people were submitted to the ICRC Office in Azerbaijan.
