Baku-APA. Mexico says three marines are dead and four more are injured after the pickup truck they were traveling in crashed during a patrol in the city of Reynosa, across the border from McAllen, Texas, APA reports quoting Associated Press.
The Navy did not specify what caused Tuesday's accident, or whether a chase was involved. The area has been the scene of frequent battles between authorities and warring factions of the Gulf drug cartel.
Earlier Tuesday, the Navy said one marine was killed and two others wounded in an ambush by drug cartel gunmen in the State of Mexico, just west of Mexico City.
And in the western state of Michoacan prosecutors said late Tuesday that the bodies of five people were found dead in a car and one suspect had been arrested.
