Ismayilli. Elvin Yagublu – APA. The forest fire in Ismayilli district was extinguished. APA’s local bureau reports that the fire at Shahdag National Park covered a large area.
Dry grass, bushes and trees burnt in high mountainous area of Tirjan village of Ismayilli district. Manpower and fire engines of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Ismayilli, Aghsu and Shamakhi districts, employees of forest protection and restoration facilities were involved in extinguishing of the fire outbreak. It was difficult to extinguish the fire, as it broke out in high mountainous area. Two helicopters of aviation group were also involved in the site. The fire was extinguished. 3 hectares of the forest burnt, the rest area of the national park was protected from fire.
