Attorney for the convict, Adam Vakilov, said in a statement to APA an appeal submitted against the footballer’s pretrial detention has been denied.
Note that, Javid Huseynov is facing charges under articles #307.1(not informing about known preparing or committed minor serious or serious crimes) and 307.2 (hiding grave crime without promising in advance) of the Criminal Code and is sentenced to pre-trial detention.
Journalist Rasim Aliyev was beaten by a group of unknown persons and died in the hospital he had been admitted to with numerous bodily injuries.
The Prosecutor General’s Office opened a criminal case under Article #126.3 (deliberate causing of serious harm to health, imprudence entailed to death of a victim) of the Criminal Code. Huseynov’s cousin, Elshan Ismayilov (Born in Baku in 1994), and their affiliates Jamal Mammadov, Arif Aliyev, Kanan Madatov, and Samir Mustafayev have been identified as the perpetuators.
