Azerbaijani being held in Armenia to be put on trial in September

He asked about the condition of the family of Turgay Mikayilov, father of three children, instructing a relevant organization to provide aid to the family, especially his newborn baby, APA’s Georgia bureau reported.

Mahammad Bayramov, a relative of Turgay’s, has said that Mishveliani promised Turgay would be released soon. The executive head said the Georgian government is negotiating for Turgay’s release, adding that Turgay would be put on trial in Yerevan next month and he would then be handed over to Georgia.

Mahammad Bayramov also said that Turgay has talked to his family on the phone.

“He said his trial would take place in Yerevan in early September and that he would then be handed over to Georgia. Turgay added that court might impose fine on him,” said Mahammad Bayramov.
