Baku Metro: Trains at Sahil and Icherisheher subway stations to resume moving in an hour
Baku. Vusal Nebiyev – APA-Economics. “A relative increase has been observed in the water flow in tunnel on the 28 May and Icherisheher line. So as to avoid any possible problem, voltage was stopped on the line. That is, movement of trains was halted, Baku Metro Press and Public Relations Department head Nasimi Pashayev told APA-Economics.
According to N. Pashayev, there is no problem with trains moving on the Hazi Aslanov-Darnagul line.
“Trains moving from Hazi Aslanov to Icherisheher are returning to the Nizami station. Passengers moving in the direction of the Icherisheher station can move to the 28 May station. There is still some work going on. Trains are soon going to resume moving. There’s no serious problem. We had to do it to prevent any other accident. As for places with water flow, we are working to stop it. Movement of trains will be resumed in an hour. There is no one left in the tunnel. Trains came out in time. There no entry to the stations,” he said.
According to him, investigation continues to find out what is causing the water flow to increase.
“To prevent the water flow from increasing, pumps are working for 24 hours. After the problem is investigated, the number of pumps may be increased,” he added.
