The review covers analysis of global economic trends and of macroeconomic processes in Azerbaijan, as well as implementation of currency policy and assessment of its status, the Central Bank told APA-Economics.
The documents notes that in a complicated global economic environment the Central Bank has carried out its monetary and currency policy within the goals of the protection of macroeconomic and financial stability, and strengthening of the international competitiveness of the oil and gas sector.
Sufficient progress has been made during the reporting period in achieving basic goals of monetary policy and inflation was maintained at the low single-digit level. Decisions, taking into account new trends in the balance of payments and serving diversification of economy, have been made.
During the reporting period, the currency reserves of the country and the Central Bank have been preserved in necessary amount.
