Baku. Musa Ahmadov - APA-Economics. Rabitabank is conducting talks on purchase of one of the banks in Azerbaijan.
Financial Department Director at Rabitabank Nijat Abbasov confirmed this information to APA-Economics.
However, he didn’t disclose the name of the bank due to the lack of concrete results. “These issues haven’t been completely specified yet. Therefore, it is advisable to keep confidential the bank’s name. This is not an issue to be solved in one or two days. A certain period of time is needed for this. Probably, the public will be informed in a month.
Abbasov added that Rabitabank’s intention to purchase another bank is in line with its strategy to expand its activity.
At present, Rabitabank is not a weak bank. Rabitabank doesn’t intend to strengthen its development as a result of this process. Our bank has enough power to develop. However, purchase of another bank will have a positive impact on our bank”, N.Abbasov stressed.
