Maniyev’s wife Nasiba Maniyeva told APA that the artist’s health seriously deteriorated on August 6 and he was taken to intensive care unit at the Scientific-Surgery Center.
“Mukhtar is currently being treated in the intensive care unit under the supervision of a doctor. He had no complaint about his health for a long time. His health suddenly deteriorated yesterday. We were afraid of losing him, but thanks Allah it didn’t happen,” she said.
Maniyeva added that depending on the results of the treatment, Maniyev will be transferred from intensive care unit to the ward tomorrow: “The hospital is taking care of us. The physicians highly-appreciate Mukhtar’s art and take care of him. Director of "Azerbaijanfilm" studio Mushfig Hatamov spoke with the head physician of the hospital and he assured that their would provide all assistance.”
Maniyev is suffering from heart-blood disorder and diabetes.
