The MES told APA that in recent days, fires occur in grain and pasture fields, bushes and large forests as a result of hot and dry weather observed in the republic. However, investigations revealed that negligence of people is one of the main reasons for those fires.
Taking into account the above mentioned as well as the damage caused by the fires to our national wealth – forests, threat posed to the flora and fauna and the state budget, and most importantly, the risk to human life, the Ministry of Emergency Situations asks the people to be careful with fire, not to throw burning matches, cigarette butts, clothes and other materials absorbed by gasoline and other flammable liquids to the ground, not to make a fire in an area without taking necessary safety measures, not to leave children unattended, and the people working with agriculture equipment to strictly follow fire safety rules.
