Azerbaijan investigates whether large amount of heroin seized in Romania was delivered via Nagorno-Karabakh or not

Spokesman for Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Hikmet Hajiyev made the remarks, APA reports.

“Azerbaijan has repeatedly stated that the territories occupied by Armenia are fertile territory for any kind of serious criminal offenses like production, transit and trade of drugs, training of terrorists, arms smuggling and kidnapping. It is not excluded that a large amount of heroin seized in Romania was delivered via occupied territories and Armenia,” he said.

333 kilograms of heroin was seized in Romania. Heroin with a street value of 40 million euros was supposedly delivered to Romania via Azerbaijan-Armenia-Georgia-Ukraine route.

The State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan stated that the heroin didn’t pass through Azerbaijan.
