Baku – APA. “Although the statements Shavarsh Kocharyan do not deserve a special commentary, we would recommend this person, who is suffering from institutional weakness of memory, goes out and witness the protests raging throughout the country, including capital Yerevan,” said Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hikmet Hajiyev in response to Armenia’s Deputy FM Shavarsh Kocharyan’s statements regarding Azerbaijan, APA reported.
Hikmet Hajiyev said democracy, human rights, and tolerance are the last issues Armenia could talk about, let alone making statements about other countries.
“In the wake of an unsuccessful domestic and foreign policy pursued by Armenia’s junta regime as well as the aggression against Azerbaijan, Armenia is now on the verge of a total bankruptcy. Armenia, a country whose 50 percent population lives in extreme poverty, foreign debt is several times bigger than its gross domestic product and which is undergoing a demographic crisis, had better look for a real tragedy in the actions of its military dictatorship regime that serves the Armenian fascist ideology “Nzhdekheism” rather than searching for the “mythic genocide”, which is so far from historical reality, in other countries’ parliaments,” said Hikmet Hajiyev.
