Head of the Anti-terrorist Center of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Andrey Novikov made the remarks, APA reports quoting RIA Novosti.
Novikov said that the IS territorial claims cover territories of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Crimea, the North Caucasus and Southern federal districts of Russia.
He said that measures to combat IS firstly includes prevention of the spread of IS influence on the internet by the special services of the CIS countries. “One of solutions to this problem is timely prevention of such provocations. Other preventive measure is strengthening of the control over citizens going to the zones of military operations,” said Novikov.
