APA reports quoting Turkey’s Sozcu newspaper that Antalya Executive Office #6 passed a decision on confiscation of "Mardan Palace" hotel due to $ 2.2 million debt.
Istanbul’s Kadikoy Executive Office #3 instructed Antalya Executive Office #6 to confiscate the hotel for 2 254 898 TRY debt to “Art Decor”. The decision on confiscation is not executed as Istanbul didn’t pay the costs of the instruction.
Due to the $ 100 million dollar debt to the Turkish Halk Bank the hotel was put up for sale in June, but the businessman has pledged to pay $ 100 million over the next 4 years and confiscation was canceled. 67 cases are underway regarding the debts of "Mardan Palace" hotel.
"Mardan Palace" hotel belongs to Russian businessman of Azerbaijani origin Telman Ismayilov. $ 1.5 billion was spent on the construction of the hotel.
