Untrue and provocative reports have surfaced in the media that 40 Azerbaijani soldiers were allegedly encircled, then managed to break through the encirclement after hours of gunfight, and that 8 of them were wounded in the fighting, the Defense Ministry said.
“These reports, purposefully released by Armenian special service agencies and hackers, are far from reality and unfortunately some local media outlets provide to the community false information relying on the enemy’s lies. We state once more that official verification with the Defense Ministry is necessary of any incident taking place along the front line before its dissemination,” the ministry said in its statement.
