Baku. Musa Ahmadov – APA-Economics. AZN 65.9 mln or 27.2% of the insurance premiums collected in the first half of 2015 came from life insurance, up 17.5% from previous year, said the head of Azerbaijan Insurers Association Orkhan Bayramov.
About 56.3% or AZN 37.1 mln of premiums on life insurance came from endowment insurance, 31.9% or AZN 21 mln from insurance against accidents at work, 11.5% or AZN 7.6 mln from death insurance, 0.3% or AZN 162,200 from insurance against incurable diseases.
Insurance payments on life insurance made AZN 30.6 mln or 33.3% of total payments (up 8.8 times from 2014).
90.5% or AZN 27.7 mln of payments went to endowment insurance, 3.7% or AZN 1.5 to insurance against accidents at work, 5.8% or AZN 1.8 mln to death insurance.
AZN 46.5 was paid for each AZN 100 insurance premium in the reporting period, while it was AZN 6.2 in 2014.
