Baku. Vusal Nabiyev - APA-Economics. AZN 153.3 mln or 63.3% of insurance premiums collected in the first half of 2015 came from voluntary insurance types, up 8.2% from previous year, said the head of Azerbaijan Insurers Association Orkhan Bayramov.
Premiums on compulsory insurance types stood at AZN 89.1 mln or 35.7%of market, up 26.7% from previous year.
77.7% or AZN 71.6 mln of payments went to voluntary types, up 55.7% by contrast to a year earlier. Compulsory insurance payments rose 5.7% to AZN 20.5 mln or 22.3% of total market.
AZN 46.7 was paid for each AZN 100 insurance premium from voluntary type during the reporting period. This figure was AZN 32.5 last year. Payment for each AZN 100 on compulsory insurance type fell to AZN 27.6 from AZN 23.
