Azerbaijan about to end work on bill on cemeteries

Baku. Mubariz Aslanov – APA. Azerbaijan’s Cabinet of Ministers has considered the bill on cemeteries, final discussions are underway, and then it will be presented to the parliament,” Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations Mubariz Gurbanli told APA.

Gurbanli said that the Committee developed the bill along with the Ministry of Economy and Industry and submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers.

“The Cabinet of Ministers has considered the bill, relevant department made some proposals in this regard. The Committee and Ministry of Economy and Industry reconsidered these proposals, discussions are about to end. Following the discussions, the final document will be considered by the Presidential Administration's legislative department and then presented to the parliament,” he added.

The main point is that there is no problem regarding the document, the committee chairman said, adding the bill covers the issues on cemeteries, funerals, location of cemeteries, size of graves, preparation of graves according relevant religions and others.
