Baku – APA. “Our biggest problem is the fact that our lands are under occupation. The norms of international law are violated flagrantly. The international community shows negligence, the UN Security Council’s resolutions remains unfilled despite two decades have passed,” Azerbaijani President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev said in his speech at the opening of a new naval base.

The head of state said it is a great injustice against our state and people.

“I am confident that the Azerbaijani people will return their historical lands. Today, no outside force is able to impose its will on Azerbaijan. We are going in our own path, our people are masters of their own destiny,” President Aliyev added.

Speaking about the situation on the contact line, President Aliyev said the Azerbaijani army took full advantage on the contact line.

“Independence is our greatest asset. Our successes are based on it. Today independent Azerbaijan is developing successfully and confidently, we have made great strides. However, our foremost duty is to restore our territorial integrity. I’m confident that Azerbaijan, increasing in strength, will achieve it, and our national flag will be hoisted in Shusha, Khankendi. Every citizen of Azerbaijan should serve bringing this sacred day closer,” the president completed.
