Rules on traffic in relation to European Games to be tightened from today

According to APA-Economics, BEGOC spokesperson Afag Huseynli said at the briefing held in the Intellectual Transport Management Center (ITMC) on release of transport information regarding the European Games that transport plans was developed in relation to the European Games jointly with the state bodies.

According to her, the plan aims to minimize the impacts on life of the citizens, business activities of the companies, bodies during the games: “All of these have been tested. Routes will go by the city”. Husenyli said.

She added that other vehicles are banned from entering the Lane of Games from today: “The lane is controlled by ITMC and traffic police. Those who break the rules will be fined in accordance with the law”.

Huseynli underlined that on the days of opening and closing ceremonies of the European Games, bringing Baku-2015 flame to Baku, the roads are planned to be blocked: “However, we’ll try to minimize the impact on the population”.
