The Georgian minister expressed condolences to her counterpart, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov in connection with the tragedy occurred in Baku on May 19.
Minister Zakir Hasanov congratulated his counterpart on her appointment to the post of defense minister and wished her success in future endeavors.
Both ministers discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation between the defense ministries of Azerbaijan and Georgia. They also spoke about the format of trilateral cooperation in the defense sector of Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey.
Then Georgian defense minister invited Zakir Hasanov to security conference to be held in Batumi on June 26-28. Zakir Hasanov accepted the invitation.
The Azerbaijani minister, in his turn, invited his Georgian counterpart to watch the first European Games to be held in Baku.
