Azerbaijani, French presidents meet in Baku - <span style="color: red;">UPDATED

Baku – APA. On April 25, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met with his French counterpart Francois Hollande in Baku.

During the meeting, the presidents expressed satisfaction with the current level of bilateral relations, stressing that the recent high-level mutual visits contributed to the development of bilateral relations.

The parties also expressed their interest in further developing the relations and noted the sides have great opportunities for that.

The presidents exchanged views on the negotiations toward a peaceful resolution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. President Ilham Aliyev expressed satisfaction with the active role of his French counterpart Francois Hollande in the issue of the conflict's settlement.

Moreover, the parties discussed regional and international issues, as well as the issues of mutual interest.

Baku. Ramiz Mikayiloghlu – APA. On April 25, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev held a one-on-one meeting with his French counterpart Francois Hollande, who is on a working visit to Azerbaijan.

Following the meeting, a protocol of intent on the establishment of the Azerbaijani-French University was signed between the Azerbaijani Education Ministry and the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research.

The French president arrived in Baku late Friday.
