Baku. Agha Jafarli – APA. Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov on Wednesday met with Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk, the Azerbaijani defense ministry said.
Zakir Hasanov told the guest of Armenia’s invasion of Azerbaijani territories, Yerevan turning its back on the peace negotiations and exacerbating the situation on the front line and the Armenian Army firing with mortar launchers and large-caliber machine guns at residential areas, civilian objects and residents after its recent failures and massive casualties.
Subunits of our Armed Forces are taking effective retaliatory measures every time to silence Armenian outposts. The personnel stationed along the contact line have been ordered to immediately destroy any moving military target, and the order is followed unconditionally, Minister Hasanov said.
The minister also added that Armenia's criminal military-political regime covers up its losses keeping people in the vacuum of information and make young people becoming hostages and being killed in this senseless war. As stated President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, the only way to resolve the conflict is the withdrawal of occupiers from our territories.
The enemy must understand that we are in the true path. Our armed forces are always ready to destroy the invaders, and we will fulfill this duty with new qualitative, destructive high-precision weapons produced by local and foreign military-industrial facilities, Hasanov stressed.
Moreover, the parties exchanged views on the current situation on the contact line, monitoring results and negotiations toward the resolution of the conflict.
