Shahin Shikhlinski, head of the Sverdlovsk office of the All-Russian Congress of Azerbaijan (ACA), told APA that Huseynov’s body arrived yesterday evening in Baku and then transported to Ganja.
The murdered footballer was buried today in Gazakh’s Farahli village.
Note that, Emil Huseynov was stabbed to death on Sunday evening in a brawl that erupted at a café in Yekaterinburg. The perpetuators fled the scene right away. Investigators identified the stabbers as the Tigran and Andranik Chichakyan brothers of Armenian origin.
Law enforcement agencies initially detained 5 persons involved in the killing, while another is wanted. A criminal case has been launched against Chichakyan. Interrogation of other detainees as well as eye witnesses is underway.
